A Better Arborist®
To preserve and save your trees Call A Better Arborist® Dallas County: (972) 745-8855 Tarrant County: (817) 442-0700 Tree Preservation, our first priority. “The very best way to remove any tree is to first determine if the tree can be saved.” A Better Arborist® is the Dallas-Fort Worth regional leader tree preservation and landscape conservation. Whatever the situation regarding your tree or your total landscape, our consultation about your tree or trees begins, automatically, with evaluating the potential for tree preservation. Whether your tree has suffered weather damage or is threatened by new construction, demolition of old structure, or other issues, we feel that preservation is always the first consideration. A Better Arborist® is available with the resources, the experience, in-house equipment, and the professional attitude which allows us to make arboriculture assessments and informed decisions to save your tree if that is your objective. Once we determine the condition and situation of the tree, we may be able to create the necessary environment (mechanical, nutritional, or structural) to preserve your tree. In the case of new construction or demolition of structures around the trees, A Better Arborist® can thoroughly analyze the situation and determine if the conditions allow for tree preservation. In most situations, we can develop a plan to save your tree and arrange a simple phased (step by step) program to guide you and the construction manager to assure the safety of your tree. In case of storm damage, many options may be available to help preserve your trees. Bracing, trimming, bolting, and crown reduction are just a few of the many options that could save threatened trees. In the event you are dealing with a tree that is unhealthy for some reason, we are able to examine the tree, evaluate the physical site (nutritional needs, drainage, spacing, etc.), check for diseases and pests, etc. Following the examination we can recommend a course of action for your site with suggested action or activities designed to help save your trees. We can address the needs of a single tree or your total overall landscape health and condition and, following the initial assessment, we can suggest opportunities to improve and manage the ecology of the landscape and suggest priorities and cost effective solutions for you. In the effort to preserve trees, A Better Arborist® works with individual home owners and with many organizations to help achieve tree conservation and stable landscaping. We often consult with neighborhood committees, home owner associations, boards of directors, incorporated parks and public areas, property management companies, commercial sites, construction and demolition sites, estates, farms, ranches, real estate developments and developers, and, of course, painting and siding contractors, roofing contractors, electrical, paving, water, and sewer contractors in residential and in commercial environments. Our consulting fee includes a physical visit to your site with an inspection of the general health and condition your landscape features. Based on this analysis we will make recommendations regarding landscape program elements and features that may require more attention or different action. Our consultation includes obvious or potential hazard assessment, the identification and correction of potential tree hazards including view (line of site issues), clearance matters, wind tolerance, and related tree design and environmental issues. Our full assessment can include invasive and other plant issues, soil and water analysis mitigation of erosion, and herbicide and evaluation, nutrient effectiveness assessment, and any immediate local environmental conflicts. For larger landscapes A Better Arborist® is available for landscape inventory, and identification and mapping of tree species. We identify pertinent issues and environments, and suggestions for tree, shrub, and plant management that will, in the long term, enhance the value of your property and your landscape investment.
